This secluded villa is great for guests who want to relax with a good book or adventure on the water. Its just across the street from Sapodilla Bay, and guests have their own stretch of Chalk Sound Beach, complete with loungers and kayaks. Try boating, golf, tennis, jet skiing, wind-surfing, sailing, fishing, sight-seeing, and shelling. Hit the nearby fitness center and round out your day with a trip to the spa.

Bright Idea is a luxurious four-bedroom villa on almost two tropical acres of waterfront property in Chalk Sound. With panoramic views of the sound and a full maintenance staff, this vacation rental is great for couples or families.
This villa has a private cove with beach chairs, a dining table, and two kayaks. Its surrounded with tropical foliage for privacy and has direct water access. Up on the terrace, an infinity-edged swimming pool sits in the center of the sundeck. Trade winds keep the deck cool as guests sunbathe on loungers or dine al fresco. Sapodilla and Taylor Bay are a short walk or drive away. The rental includes a membership to private tennis courts on Taylor Bay, and Sapodilla Bay is ideal for children, as it slopes very gradually and there is almost never any surf. A gardener and pool maintenance keep the exterior pristine.
Whitewashed interiors combines with chic decor in the living room. There’s an entertainment system and flatscreen TV, a small desk off to the side, and sliding glass doors that face the ocean view. The kitchen has quirky mosaic countertops, standard appliances, and garden views. There’s also a powder room for guests’ convenience. Both of the king suites are upstairs, and each has an ensuite bathroom and private balcony. One bedroom can be converted into a twin suite for children. The main house and cottages are all fully air-conditioned. The guest cottages have a cozy living area, a kitchenette, and one bedroom each. These cottage suites can be converted into twin suites if preferred.
Chalk Sound is largely residential, with a couple rental shops and Las Brisas, a waterfront restaurant. Busier Grace Bay is only a 10-15 minute drive away though, and has every activity under the sun.

Amazing Visit
Bright Idea Villa, Turks and Caicos villa review
Our family came to celebrate college graduations. We had the most amazing time in Turks and Caicos. This Villa was perfect for us and the pictures don’t do it justice. It’s very private, beautiful and exceeded our expectations. Shawna and the staff were fantastic and responsive. Her recommendations were very helpful. We would book again without hesitation!

Bright Idea Villa, Turks and Caicos villa review
We had the good fortune to stay at Bright Idea Villa for eight days this past March. Overall, it is an excellent house. While the indoor common living spaces are on the smaller side, the bedrooms are large, the bathrooms are clean, the sheets and towels are soft, and the kitchen is very well stocked with everything you need to cook meals at home. While they do not guarantee any beach chairs or umbrellas, there were two nice umbrellas, four beach chairs, floats, and toys available to take to different beaches. Sapodilla and Taylor Bay are within walking distance and absolutely wonderful! The house is very private, and contrary to the listing you do not need 4WD to access it.
The WiFi was strong. The cable TV was not working in the main house, but that wasn’t a problem for us as we could stream movies for the kids at night. The house manager was having someone come to look at the problem, so I am sure it will be resolved soon.
There are a few minor things that could really help this property become top-notch. Mainly, it would be nice to have some rugs by the sliding glass doors and in the kitchen to help catch sand and dry off wet feet. The floors are tile and are VERY SLIPPERY when wet. A clothesline would save guests from having to use the washer and dryer as much. It would also be nice to have some kind of hose or bucket to wash off feet before coming off the beach to the deck to keep sand out of the house. Lastly, there is no shade at the back of the house for a good part of the day. There was a heavy duty umbrella stand on the deck by the pool, but no umbrella for it. It was almost impossible to sit out by the pool in the morning unless you wanted direct, hot sun. Some kind of shade back there would be welcome, as it gets HOT.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Bright Idea and would certainly come back!
Our experience with WhereToStay was very smooth! We would definitely book with WTS and Andrew again! Claudius and the pool guys were super nice. Neither of them knew where the switch to the pool light was, but they said they had just started working at the villa, so no biggie.

Bright Idea Villa, Turks and Caicos villa review
This is a nice house, but its dated and needs maintenance. The pool is always cold and should have a heater for winter months. The house staff is very nice and helpful. Its close to a restaurant and a convenient store.
I would recommend Bright Idea, but at a better rate.

Bright Idea Villa, Turks and Caicos villa review
I want to share both the pros and cons of staying at Bright Ideas. Please know that we are avid travelers and have been renting homes for the past 10 years, so our standards are quite high.
Pros: beautiful view of Chalk Sound, a private beach, two separate one-bedroom cottages, walking distance to Taylor Beach, feels very safe even without a security system, quiet spot, lots of towels, and the management agent, Basia, is very attentive.
Cons: no beach chairs, starter amenities are slim, downstairs living space is small, most of the living is done outside, air-conditioning is extra, 20 minutes from most restaurants and action.
Overall, with a few minor tweaks this place would be great. If you are looking for peace and tranquility, Chalk Sound is the place to go. Sharon from WhereToStay was terrific, and made the planning of our trip super easy. I will surely use them again.
