Another Delightful Vacation
Callaloo Cottage, Turks and Caicos villa review
This past trip was our 14th to the island and our second visit to Callaloo Cottage. We selected TCI to celebrate our wedding anniversary and my wife’s birthday. The one bedroom layout with a location right on the beach at Turtle Cove added to the intimacy and enjoyment of our celebrations. The villa is maintained in excellent condition and the furnishings are all high quality. The view from the beach is exquisite. We sat out several evenings watching the sunset. The villa’s location on the island is convenient to shopping and restaurants and saved considerably on the amount of driving that I had to do. We have already rented this villa for the same week next year. We recommend Callaloo Cottage for any couple searching for a quiet, intimate get away in a beautiful location.
We have rented through WhereToStay and Andrew several times. Each experience was managed in a professional stress-free manner. Andrew’s insights regarding how to navigate TCI’s requirements in the current COVID Pandemic were especially helpful.

We love this villa.
Callaloo Cottage, Turks and Caicos villa review
This villa was the perfect size for the two of us. It is right on the beach with beautiful views, great swimming, and very few visitors. The villa is very nicely furnished and tastefully decorated. We also enjoyed the pool and palapa. It’s location is less than 15 minutes from all the restaurants and shopping. We will definitely return.
Our experience with WhereToStay was excellent as always.

A Slice of Paradise
Callaloo Cottage, Turks and Caicos villa review
Staying at Callaloo allowed us to stop time and relax in an absolutely beautiful setting. We ate dinner outside, laid by the pool, slept in the hammock, and watched the boats go out and come in from our lounge chairs on the beach. The house was absolutely perfect for the two of us.
I have a few notes that future guests might want to know. We only turned the AC on at night, but with the windows and doors open and the fan on, there was always enough breeze to be more than comfortable. The kitchen is well-stocked and there were even spices and a few things that I didn’t expect. Past guest had left beach chairs, umbrella, swim fins, pool floats, etc., so that was a nice plus.
There is a very small reef out and to the right that we would snorkel. The better snorkeling experience is down at Corral Gardens, which is a short drive or a long walk down the beach from the house. It was very nice that we could snorkel right in front of the house. The house also has a really great sunset view.
I didn’t realize that the front of the house sits right in front of public beach access, so we made sure to lock up tight just in case… however, we rarely saw anyone and didn’t feel uncomfortable. The marina entrance is right next to the house, so you can enjoy the boat traffic (however you need to be careful in going too far out while snorkeling).
Andrew was great!

A wonderful villa with amazing staff support
Callaloo Cottage, Turks and Caicos villa review
We recently returned from a weeklong stay at the Callaloo Cottage and had a wonderful time! The villa itself is beautiful and in a great location that is convenient for everything. From check-in to check-out, the staff was amazing and extremely responsive. We really appreciated how they (especially Reggie) went out of their way to make our stay wonderful. The entire home was comfortable, clean, and perfect for the two of us to enjoy our time there. It was supplied with everything we needed and made for a very enjoyable visit to Turks and Caicos!
Only a few small things would’ve made our stay better:
1. The sidewalk around the pool had hundreds of ants each day we were there. The pool is beautiful and it was hard to enjoy the built-in seating along the perimeter of the pool because of the ants.
2. The pool net to clean the pool had a lot of tears in it so it was not very effective in its purpose. This may not have been a big deal had there not been so many dead ants in the water (see above).
3. I wish the bedroom had curtains. I personally like to sleep in a dark space and the room got very, very bright around 6:30 am when the sun came up (even with the blinds down).
Note: These “issues” were really small. So small that we didn’t reach out to the management company to address them, although I feel confident that they would’ve responded if we did.
We would definitely come back to stay here and would recommend it to others.
Andrew and his team were amazing! They were responsive, helpful, and knowledgable.
