Emerald Cay is a private island estate on the western tip of the Turks and Caicos Islands. This villa enjoys 30,000 square feet of tropical beauty amidst the Chalk Sound National Park and Frenchman’s Creek Nature Reserve, as well as direct access to kayaking, paddle boarding, and hidden beaches.
This man-made island stretches across two acres in the exclusive, scenic Silly Creek region. Turquoise water and breathtaking views surround the island, which is accessed via a remote-controlled swing bridge and a Turkish marble driveway. There are two infinity pools with waterfalls and spas overlooking the sea. Loungers, shaded sunchairs, and umbrellas furnish the sundecks, and a stainless steel grill and al fresco dining sit beneath the barbecue pavilion. Emerald Cay’s interior lagoon offers a private, sheltered beach with a swimming area. Guests can spend sunny afternoons on the full size tennis and sand volleyball courts, or workout in the state-of-the-art fitness center.
Vaulted ceilings, handpainted frescoes, and tall pillars lend an elegant, European air to Emerald Cay’s ample interior. The villa has a 10-seat movie theatre, and an elevated cocktail lounge. The three-story library offers mahogany paneling and a hardwood helical staircase, which leads up to a picturesque workspace and sitting area. A Crestron system automates virtually everything on the island, including the lighting, air-conditioning, and audio. The kitchen is fully equipped with stainless steel appliances and expansive countertops where the island’s chef can prepare grand feasts and hors d’oevres. A butler and housekeeper are also available on a daily basis to serve guests and maintain the villa.
Eight bedrooms are spread across four buildings on the island. The master bedroom enjoys its own detached two-level pavilion with panoramic views, a spacious bathroom with indoor and outdoor showers, and a private office. On the upper level of the main house, there are two queen suites with exterior access only and one king suite. Two more bedrooms are in the boat house, which has its own living area, kitchen, and balcony. One bedroom has a queen bed and a twin, while the other has a queen bed. The last two bedrooms are in the guest house, which is set apart from the main house. One of these bedrooms has a double bed, while the other has a twin.
Emerald Cay has everything guests could need, so there’s no need to rush around the island. The swing bridge connects the island to Chalk Sound’s activities and restaurant.
