La Vita rests on St. John’s beautiful North Shore in the Peter Bay community. The villa enjoys panoramic views over Peter Bay, Cinnamon Bay, and the British Virgin Islands.
Peter Bay enjoys its own beach in the middle of the Virgin Islands National Park. This remote, white sand beach enjoys tranquil waters and ample sunshine. After a day by the sea, La Vita’s outdoor spaces are the perfect place to relax and unwind. Beneath the covered veranda, there is an al fresco dining area with a bar, grill, and refrigerator. Cushioned swivel chairs overlook the pool and lounge area, and there’s a powder room near the bar and pool. Through the archways, there’s a spacious sundeck with loungers and an infinity pool. A hot tub sits a few steps above the pool, and both face gorgeous ocean views. There’s also a rotunda with arches and cushioned armchairs.
La Vita incorporates 6,500 square feet of Meditteranean-inspired design. Every room has ocean views, air-conditioning, and outfitted with handcrafted mahogany furnishings. Oil paintings and elegant decor accent the open-air interior. The living room’s flatscreen TV and entertainment center are surrounded by plush sofas and armchairs. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped with mahogany cabinetry, Thermador chef-grade appliances, and elegant cookware. Guests can dine and lounge around the extended island, and a half bath is just off the kitchen. Each of La Vita’s suites has an ensuite bathroom, air-conditioning, and a terrace with ocean views. Four of the suites have king beds, and one has two twins that can be made up as a king. Two bedrooms are on the main level and one is on the upper level in the Guest House. The fourth bedroom is under the rotunda, and the fifth is in a private apartment near the courtyard.
La Vita is five minutes from the beach and snorkeling. Several North Shore beaches are within a short drive, including Trunk Bay, Cinnamon Bay, and Maho Bay.

Family vacation
La Vita, St. John villa review
This was one of our favorite vacation spots ever! The villa was beautiful, well stocked and within walking distance to the beach. The view of Peter Bay is absolutely spectacular - from watching the sunrise to seeing turtles swimming in the crystal blue water. We will be back and would definitely recommend it!
WhereToStay did a great job making every step of this as easy as possible. The website is a great tool for keeping track of everything for the vacation.

La Vita is spectacular. The views and gardens are amazing, and the outdoor spaces are incredible. Indoors the full a/c, fully stocked kitchen and luxurious bedrooms make for a very comfortable home away from home. Whether you’re playing games around the table, grilling, or relaxing in the hot tub, La Vita is the perfect location to experience all that St. John has to offer. Enjoy!!

We recently spent a week at La Vita and we could not have been more pleased. The great location in Peter Bay, the fabulous layout of the Villa, the unbelievable views from every room, and the well-appointed/stocked kitchen made for a very enjoyable Christmas Holiday.
Working with WhereToStay.com was great - will work with Shawna for our next Caribbean adventure - good communication up-front, excellent communication with the on-site host, and VERY responsive to every question & concern.
Pure paradise
La Vita, St. John villa review
Our group of 7 we’re celebrating a 40th birthday and La Vita was the perfect house. The location is truly stunning and the house is just as spectacular. We wanted a house with great bedrooms for the whole crew and La Vita delivers. 5 King suites, all with fabulous views and most with outdoor showers. How can you beat that? We loved the private beach but spent a lot of time in the pool. the house is perfectly set-up to have a private chef prepare meals (which we did all week) and there’s an amazing outdoor entertaining area with a full bar (we also had a great bartender come in a few times). All in all, truly a dream getaway. St. John is gorgeous and we’ll definitely be back.
Betsy was incredibly helpful throughout our planning process and made all the logistics of getting 7 friends to the island a breeze!
